The Game
Baccarat is a thrilling game played at major casinos all over the world. Its up
to you to wager that either the players hand will win, the bankers hand will
win, or that the game will result in a tie.
The Rules
The object of baccarat is to predict which hand will get a point value closest to 9,
keeping in mind that all ten-value cards count as zero and aces count as one.
To participate in the game, you place your wager on the bankers hand, on the
players hand, or on a tie. Then the player and the banker are each dealt a two-card
hand. Following standard baccarat rules, a third card is dealt to the player and/or the
banker.
Your job is to predict whether the bankers hand or the players hand will
come closest to a point value of 9. The hand with the highest point value wins. You can
also choose to place your bet on a tie, when both hands have equal point values. If the
game does result in a tie, a wager for the banker or the player is returned.
All winning wagers for the banker and the player pay even money. However, if you win by
betting on the banker, the bank receives 5% commission.
If you correctly wager that the two hands will tie, your payoff is 8 to 1.
Card Values
Ace = one point
Face cards and tens = zero
All other cards carry the point value stated on the card.
If the cards in a hand total more than ten points, simply subtract ten; the remainder
is the baccarat point value of the hand. For example: 8+8=16, which counts as a 6 in
baccarat; and 8+9=17, which counts as 7.

Latency Meter
A latency meter is shown as a series of six small red lights in the lower left corner
of the game window. This meter measures the round-trip time to the game server. If no red
light is illuminated during the game, the response time is less than 100 ms. If all six
lights are on, the response time is more than 30 seconds.
